Extreme Makeover - Volunteers of America Chesapeake Edition! Date: 5/15/2012 until 5/16/2012 Time: 8:00 am to 8:00 am Location: 4611 Assembly Drive Lanham, MD (View Map) Description: Volunteers of America Chesapeake is teaming up with volunteers from BB&T to makeover the interior of a Volunteers of America Chesapeake Prince George’s Mental Health group home. Associates from BB&T College Park, Maryland Commercial Loans Department, Washington, DC Region will volunteer 8 hours of their time on May 15th and 16th to help clean, paint and redecorate the facility that is 1 of 16 Mental Health homes throughout Prince George’s County, MD. The BB&T volunteers are taking part in the company’s fourth annual Lighthouse Project. The teams have each selected a project to assist a non-profit agency to complete during May or June to make a positive impact on the lives of people in need. BB&T hopes their efforts encourage others in the community to volunteer their time and support organizations such as Volunteers of America Chesapeake.
